So, what should we attempt to gather on next? The MOH:AA gather didn't go too badly last time, but we could always try something new..

So, any thoughts on the below:

• Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory - which is entirely free.
• Tribes 2 - which was available for free download for quite some time, if enough of us managed to download that we could always give it a go.
• Battlefield 1942/Mods (cheap versions of BF1942 can be found on ebay)
• Allied Assault
• Spearhead
• Call of Duty
  and if enough of you have it
• Unreal Tournament 2004 (I wish I had it :( )
• Unreal Tournament (original) - plus any mods that enhance game play.

I'm not sure how many of us own certain versions of certain games, but that's why I asked..

Unreal Tournament 2004 plus we can all use voice coms to wind each other up................haha mised your (not very good).......Eat This... haha...how fun would that be eh :thumbs:

but ive got all them games above so ill play any.....(havnt got working key for COD tho, some1 stole it)

Just thought I'd start my post with that.

Using voice comms to hurl abuse at each other? Why, I'm almost glad I don't have UT2004 now..

Despite my UT reputation, I lean towards CoD cause it's the only FPS game I've got working so far online aside from MoHAA.

This said I'm perfectly willing to reinstall both Ut and/or UT03/04.

Tribes I didn't get in time.

Is the Wolfenstein thing an add on?

No, it's an entirely free multiplayer game - you don't need the original to install it.

I've not played it in aggeesss....

Come to think of it I also installed BF42 for the pleasure of you lot killing me (and me complaining about unfamiliar controls etc)

jeeezus christ its all in the spirit of the game man harmles banter, and if your going to take offence over stupid stuff im glad you havnt got the game aswell. If you do get the game dont put the graphics on full incase your offended by whats said, and dont use the taunts :o

In-game banter is fine, I've enjoyed many sesssions of name calling with PilchY (and occasionally Maby66), and since neither of those two are about - I'd just like to say how incredibly witty all my comments are...

I'm up for a gather on any game except Call of Duty, UT2004 & Tribes 2 (cannot be bothered to download that lol).

RtCW, Tribes 2 or original UT are the only ones I've got :o(

On a related note, if I was considering buying a BF game to play online would I be better getting 1942 or Vietnam?

BF1942 as many of us have it and most of us prefer this game also because of the amount of mods it has. Vietnam was just too dissapointing.

Actually I might have RtCW somewhere too.

And UT04 can be great fun, voice coms aside, though my experience has been limited to bots who actually strive towards a goal with you as oppose to racking up as many kills as possible.

Ta m8, I just managed to pick up a copy on EBay for £5.50 so I'll be up for BF1942 too soon.

hmm yeah a good buy that, dont want to worry you though but i hope the CD key comes with it, and not in use when yoiu go to use it. I havnt played BF for ooo must be a good few months, well i played it almost everyday since realese

Yeah, I did wonder, but it says "new in box", so if it proves to be a duffer there'll be some robust negative feedback left. And the guy's feedback suggests he's selling legit stuff.
