I started playing this today, pretty good actually as I didn't really think much of the demo but you get more into it when you start from the begining insetd of being thrown int he deep end with the demo.
The slowmo.adrenaline thing is a pretty useful feature as when you get the bigger rifle you can just slow it aim and shoot them in the head. I'll download the MP when I get the chance but I think I'll have to wait to next month becuase of all the download caps etc etc. --------------------

I thought the gameplay action on this was tremendous. The atmosphere/sounds and music going through the various areas was very well done. I also liked the various phone messages left around the place that gave you an insight into what had happened up to that point, although it was rather loose license that meant all the messages were in chronological order. I did find the repeated illusionary sightings of the bad guy a bit repetitive and was slightly disappointed at how easy it was to dispatch him near the end of the game.
Agree with you on the adrenalin slow mo feature being great. I used it with the sticky nades and the assault shotgun to ambush various patrols. The slow mo game physics as soldiers flew through the air and heads rolled due to well placed shotgun rounds was so much fun. The nailgun weapon and the particle accelerator guns were also great to use. All in all a very enjoyable game to play and one that was different to all the other fps you come across. I look forward to the expansion pack. --------------------

I was another who was not so impressed by the FEAR single player demo, but my viewpoint changed around completely from trying the free MP version.
The guns were sweet and I really liked the the implementation of the physics and the indoor nade effect. When I have some spare cash I'll get a copy and it's not expensive so I think that will be soon rather than later. The single player demo didn't run especially well on my system so the MP version running so smoothly and no doubt being more optimised means I am more optimistic about running the full game. --------------------

I like the fact that they've added physics like wall damage, unfortunatly this is only to one level, I want to be able to blast by way through a wall (using all my ammo) but oh well.
I thing I find about the maps on F.E.A.R is that it seems almost too real, a bare wall is just a bare wall, in other games a bare wall will usually have some texture or blood stain that would never be there in real life. Its a hard thing to get into but its a step forward I think. It just sort of brings the plainness of reality into an unreal situation. --------------------

EDIT: Don't worry its ok now, I don't know what it was but every online game seems to think my hardware has changed since a couple of nights ago, oh well its all working now. --------------------
