Nothing but rumour, but just the kind of rumor Naoki would like to be true:

QUOTE
NiGHTS fans have been given a little more hope via the latest issue of Japanese gaming mag, Famitsu. Instead of the typical internet rumor, this authoritative magazine contained a small piece on the possibility of a new NiGHTS Into Dreams appearing on the Nintendo Revolution.

I must emphasize that the game has not been officially announced, but is in Famitsu's rumor section. But for the most part, Famitsu has reliable sources and is usually quite accurate.

Ah NiGHTs, a good Saturn classic that many love to rave on about, and a great technical piece to show that even it can produce good 3D graphics against the "superior" PlayStation. It really is such a unique and magical game and like many other fans of it, I been wanting to see a sequal of it for a long time. Was hoping there would be one on the Dreamcast and though it never was one, at least it made alot of small appearances in alot of Sonic Team developed games. The NiGHTs themed pinball level on the Casinopolis stage on Sonic Adventure was really nice and captured everything that was great about it. You can just spend ages on that and not bother to finish the whole stage itself!

Anyways if the sequal was to come to the Revolution, hell yes would I be jumping for joy! So many possibilities to use the Revmote to control in the game since it revolves around flying. Though I can also understand why they wouldn't want to make a sequal seeing as like it was already mentioned, there would be nothing to change other besides a graphical update.

Nice quote from Yuji Naka to sum up why,

"I know a lot of people love it and want us to make a sequel, but for us it's a really important game. Like the way Spielberg likes E.T. so much he won't remake it, I don't want to make another NiGHTS."
