 Web Site Comments, On first sight- Looks like a good site

 Just joined and on first sight looks like a good site I'm fed up with Forums being cluttered uo with immature FPS crash bang wallop merchants but after perusing the boards I can see the same old problem, the older generation don't have the time or are not so interested in long conflabs about gaming they would rather use their time playing rather than typing as they probably spend a lot of their time doing just that during the day anyway. Thinking of which its time for me to switch on the gaming machine and give those pigs in SWINE a thorough spanking, it's a damn good laugh. |

I haven't actually seen the first page of the web site for ages asI just go straight to the forums but its looking good, If i remember correctly Pig says its not finished...

Thanks for the feedback - it's always nice to know what people think of the site.
As for the domination of the First Person Shooter in most forums (and the fact that it does hold a strong sway over this one), I think you'll find that there are a few people here who are sick of generic FPS's being the main focus for development houses - Dan loves his RPGs, Naoki has a emphatic knowledge of the Japanese market and the games that spring forth from the East, and I love all games equally (I just wish I had the time to play more) Always up for an interesting conflab about gaming - but as you say, it's something of a juggling act, there's nothing worse than spending all your time talking about games, but never getting around to playing them.

I had a look at it but it took me a good half hour to work out what was going on with the CSS. I started playing around a bit but I fell asleep at my desk on my pillow becuase it was 3am.

Yes, well in an ideal world I'd have been taught how to use HTML/CSS and not have to pick it up as I went along, also I'd have had time to write constructive and helpful comments next to each item of code - sadly, I don't happen to live in an ideal world (for the purpose of site coding, at least) so I muddle through, and if the end result happens to look nice and work in a good enough manner, then I'm happy. But! As I say, any help is appreciated - no matter how small an improvement. |

As you're always looking for nice little effects to add maybe you could consider adding this to the site.
Link Thumbnails. I didn't really read the code so I dunno if its gonna intergrate with the board but you could put it on the home page. --------------------

Looks neat - not sure if it'd add much to the site (Opera actually does a similar effect for any tabs you have open), and it's a matter of time really (being that I don't have any) - I shall keep it in mind.

Oh.. you mean on the other skin; it wouldn't be a problem - it's just a case of this one being the default, so I never really bothered with the other one.
