Worthplaying carry news of a demo of Freedom Force vs. the Third Reich - it seems the clan of Wags and the Maggot have upset the Forces of Freedom...

Or maybe it's completely unrelated to the CoD clan of the same name

The official site suggests that might just be the case - peruse the screenshots and ponder if this tactical role-playing game is for you...

Fileshack, FileRush (torrent only) have the download, and so do Worthplaying

Hurrah(ish) - it's not too bad, although the complete lack of lip-synching detracts from some of the graphical parts of the games 'story', but that minor quibble it's all very well done - not quite as high on my list of wants as other games, but still worthy of note...

The first time I threw a car to knock out a cackling supervillain was when I realised that this game was a bit different to the first person shooters and strategy games I had played before.

In fact I would go as far as to say that Freedom Force v The Third Reich is a bit special all round; I have certainly never played anything like it. And that is a good thing.

It is a hugely refreshing change from the grim, gun-heavy frag-fests that many shooters degenerate into. It is also far, far away from real-timestrategy games that often become a race to gather resources rather than test who best uses the battlefield.

I'm not sure I agree with that last statement. What's wrong with degenerated gun heavy frag fests?

They're so passe, that's what's wrong with them - and people like variety in their gaming, unless they're a gun happy psychopath...

You're not a gun happy psychopath are you Spook?

Not in real life no.

I do like the odd bit of online rocket fueled mayhem though. But get pretty fed up when it's me getting the rocket up the ass all the time.

God I really hate people sometimes. I mean people who deliberately snipe spawn points and ignore flags whether their team is winning or losing (regardless of what weapon they use).

Anyway. Yeah. Sometimes it can be fun to just run around shooting things. Othertimes it's a real pain.
