UGO has posted up a history of Star Wars games - dividing the timeline into 4 categories: The Golden Age (up to 1990), The Silver Age (1991-1996), The Gaming Renaissance? (1996-2000), Modern Age (2001 onwards)

Good guide to a history of Star Wars games but there are two very good ones that are missing and I can't really blame them since its one market area that is pretty much dying and usually missed. And that is the Arcade market. Somewhere around 1999 or 2000 is where we see two brilliant Star War games created by Sega which ran on the Naomi-hardware which is what powers the ill-fated Dreamcast. The two games were Star Wars Trilogy Arcade & Star Wars Episode 1 Racer Arcade. Such wonderful graphics and gameplay have made these two very good classics and I just can't believed they were left out. The arcade version of Episode 1 Racer beats the N64 game by miles i.e. the Tatooine level looks exactly like it does on the film. Not to mention proper Pod-Racer controls and multiplayer arcade cabinets!
