Other than an April Fools news posting - little has been revealed about what EA were going to do with the license to for the famous Godfather film trilogy, however - Yahoo News have re-capped what we know already:

QUOTE
"The Godfather" video game, which is expected to earn a Mature rating, will allow players to become part of one of the most famous crime stories of all time. Although no details about the game have been released, gameplay is expected to blend elements of such popular crime video games as Take-Two Interactive's "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" and Activision's "True Crime: Streets of LA." Both allow players to explore the world on foot and in vehicles as they interact with characters and accomplish missions. Should "The Godfather" game follow this popular model, it would be EA's first entry into this best-selling crime genre.

So, a gangster based GTA game, eh?

Wasn't that called Mafia?

Mafia was super - you could probably get a copy very cheaply now, it won't look too beautiful - but it has a lovely story line.

Computer and Video Games have a trailer....

Now the capos have given you the go ahead to meet the Don himself in this short teaser trailer.

Unfortunately there's not even a trace of gameplay footage on offer, or even any clues as to how that gameplay will pan out. What you do have is an exquisitely modelled Don Corleone making - you guessed it - an offer you can't refuse.

Which is great, but does leave us salivating for solid gameplay details.

So, there's STILL no solid details on what type of game it'll be.... Maybe an add-on for The Sims?
