Well, this was my first go on CS:S and any HL mod. Never played the original CS before (and it shows).

I did get better later on. I killed a few people - it was nice. I think I am maybe a little too gung-ho. I keep getting killed. You die quickly in this game. I spent a long time watching other people. It got a bit boring. Nice graphics though.

Hope they change some of the voice acting. Fire in the hole! I hate hearing that now. I think I am gonna be sick.

Why does everyone else manage to get good guns? I look for what they use and can only find crap stuff. Ah well. I'm getting better. Slowly.

Oh dear spook....

You have a lot to learn about CS in general...

Where as on BF/DC it is a much slower game, CS is one of the quickest games you will play.

You need to be very alert, use walk and best of all make sure you get that all important first shot on someone..... Always try and aim for the head...

If i had played CS : S yet i would give you a run down on the weapon' but i cant but am sure as hell google would!

Spook, first off you've more courage than me - I've not even tried the CS option yet.

But just basing this on a CoD tactic the first thing you might do on seeing an opponent is drop, either to crouch or prone. If they're aiming at your chest or head they'll miss that all important first shot. If you can drop and fire, even better. This is the sum total of my CoD tactics (I learnt much from Wags :P ), though I've no idea if it ports across to CS.

It'd be nice to have a CS bash with you lot sometime.

And as for the dead position - I see the world from this viewpoint a lot while gaming. I am a natural corpse.

ive alwys found that the only god time for crouching is when the enemy is a fair distance. ive found that if you crouch when the enemy is close you always get a good smack in the end, and that the ned of that round for you

That may be true.

I'm a rifle man at heart so my foes are usually a good distance off when I start firing and if I'm doing it right they don't get any closer. If I'm doing it wrong then I'm dead meat with a slow loading rifle.
