It's no good folks.

I miss Dungeon Master, Eye of the Beholder (1, 2 and even 3), and all those other non realtime RPG games which I used to play on my wonderful Amiga.

Anyone know where (if) there are some of this kind of retro games around?

(I ask this in the shadow of Pig's nice little Retro link)

Sheer beauty...

Good to know that someone reads my posts...

Anyway, have you looked at any of the three Dungeon Master remakes on that very site?

Dungeon Maker, the Java Dungeon Master or Return to Chaos

I had in fact seen the Java Dungeon Master before and failed to get it to run under XP. Looking at the Return to Chaos it seems very much a game in the same vein, in that it's a version for coders....the related forum is too techy for me by far. The Dungeon Maker is exactly what it says on the tin, and is also aiming at a squareless game environment (no one step, one square).

But they're all worth a look.
