Atari has released the full European version of the Expanded Multiplayer addon for Unreal II: The Awakening, featuring the same content as the American version that was released in December 2003.
The expansion features eight maps, three vehicles, and three character classes
You'll need the original Unreal 2 to play on this, although there's a demo that comes with the download that allows you to sample it You can get it from Gamers Hell |

Is there any difference because I downloaded the one from the official site a long time ago when it was released and I'm able to connect to European servers. Its a very good game this is, and quite similar to the UT2004 Onslaught mode. I do find that the graphics are just way too colourful and so its pretty hard too see things and know what you are shooting at. And most of the weapons do need getting some used to cause they are so different from the UT games, yet they are kind of the same type.

So, if you've patched up the version you downloaded, no need to worry. Think I may give it a go this time though |

Ummmm....
Excuse the question for being so horribly n00bish, but.. Once I've joined a server, how to I start fighting? I have the camera, and can move it around at my own free will - and the game tells me to press fire to join... but when I click, nothing happens... Is there a re-spawn timer that I'm missing? |

Lol. Bare with me as well since I am a complete n00b on this game and haven't played it much myself.
Have you tried setting up your control configurations as well? I guess you already know this now, but basically when you join a team, there are multiple spawn points and you use a button (can't remember which one) to move around each one. At the bottom of the screen, you would see a timer for when you are allowed to spawn at that point. Selecxt which type of class you want to be using the 1, 2 or 3 keys. Then just press fire once and wait for it. You should see a confirmation message or something. This happened to me the first time I played this as well and I was thinking if the game was glitched or something. |
