A topic close to my hart at the mo, as I'm going in for a new digital camera.

This silly boy thought he would take some "aerial shots" of Kent University, with disastrous results.

And here's the camera I'm off to buy tomorrow.

Click'ety-click

£250 in Argos
£199.90 in Jessops, on offer at the mo for £149.
But £109. at 7dayshop.com.

Crikey, a daring if remarkably stupid individual.

I've had a hell of a lot of fun with my digital compact Ordep and I hope you have as much with your new one.

May I recommend a good utility once you start getting into hundreds or thousands of pictures is Imatch

http://www.photools.com/

there's a 30day trial should you be interested.

It's a database program for photography and is really handy for keep track of images both on pc and also on cd or dvd.

Thanks for that Dan, looks an interesting bit of kit.
I'll have a closer look when I have more time to spare.

Incidentally, I'd like to seek your advice re layering at some later stage.
A project to be tackled in the long winter months me thinks.
