I've read all the reviews and Boxing games are usually very poor but this one seems to be a winner. I like first person view in my boxing titles but none of the reviews tell me if it has it or not. anyone out there played it ?

Haven't played it personally - but a Google search or two doesn't seem to suggest a first-person viewpoint being included a preview on 1UP stated that:

Not a definate answer I'm afraid - have you got a local GAME store that you can buy it from? As Game stores have (or used to have) a very good returns policy

It looks from the link you gave, that it does indeed have an FPS view.
I know that when you get knocked down, you see the ref from FPS view as he counts you down but you see two of him and you have to twiddle the analogue sticks to bring him into focus before you boxer will stand up.

Yes , I can try before I buy or indeed rent. But I only discovered this game 2 days ago (not being really into the PS2) and I thought I'd ask the Exiled Gamers for advice first.
