Just i would hope it is better than the MOH add-on's that to be honest arent worth the £20 they charge for them.

Perhap's if they done it for a £5 and had it available to download/Or CD be sent to them, more people would buy them and use!

I've got even less faith - don't get me wrong, I did like the original Call of Duty, and it certainly was one of the better games of last year (Game of the Year - I'm still not to sure on, can't remember any other games though... it's my age..)

But an expansion pack to a game that has already been surpassed in the prettiness stakes this year (Far Cry, Unreal Tournament 2004), which is built around an ageing game engine? It just doesn't inspire me...

Will it be more than a multiplayer add-on (much like Spearhead for Medal of Honor, and Road to Rome for Battlefied 1942 were) - I'd hope so...

We can only keep our fingers and toes crossed Ghost, but it does say 'single player missions', so I guess like the orginal COD, you will play through various battles as a soldier representing each of the Allies...plus i assume more MP maps :)

Activision, confirmed officially today that gamers can enlist for a second tour of duty on the intense front lines of WWII with, Call of Duty, expansion pack, United Offensive.

Call of Duty: United Offensives single player campaign allows gamers to experience more of WWII's most crucial and legendary conflicts, including The Battle of the Bulge, The Battle of Kursk and the invasion of Sicily, as they fight through more than ten intense all-new maps. The game features new weapons, character abilities, weather effects and explosions, adding even more realism to the chaotic battlefields.

Additionally, Call of Duty: United Offensive expands on the popular multiplayer experience of Call of Duty, offering new multiplayer maps that set the stage for tank combat, as well as tank-and-foot-soldier combined arms action, providing the ultimate battle of Axis vs. Allies. Fans will also enjoy three new multiplayer game play modes, including Tank Battle, Capture the Flag and Domination - where squads must take control of key locations while preventing enemy troops from advancing.

No hint of a release date as yet.

Due this Autumn.

And heres the link, for what its worth.

There's a Q&A with Robb Alvey, Senior Producer at Gray Matter at IGN in which he mentions some of the new features that this expansion will bring, along with commenting on each of the individual single player campaigns, and the expansion of the multiplayer side of things - worth a read if you're a Call of Duty fan.

Well, for once I hope this one slips.
Else I can see it clashing with HL2.

Does sound good though.

It didn't strike us as particularly innovative, but it does seem like it will still be a lot of fun.

I can't see it clashing with HL2, as these are totally different types of games. It will no doubt be a big seller though, esp. to the the large COD MP community. My clan is definately excited about it's release  .

Yes, this is eagerly awaited (by me at least). It will be interesting to see how the 'multi-player' tank battles work out

Maybe it'll even appeal to you BF1942 wallers !!! :o
